Becoming an Editor is a great way to get more involved in the Natural Hair and Lifestyle movement and share you expertise with the world. We have the following Editor positions working with Naptural Roots Magazine.

  • Natural Hair and Beauty/Skin
  • Art and Fashion
  • Health and Fitness
  • Wellness and Spirituality
  • Finances and General Lifestyle

Our Editors (we have more than one for each position) have the following duties:

  1. Contribute one article (in your focus area) per quarter for inclusion in the Naptural Roots Magazine (print and digital edition).
  2. Contribute at least one article per quarter (hopefully more) for use on the Naptural Roots Magazine website.
  3. Enlist and manage (only managing submission to ensure that people you enlist are contributing on a regular basis)  bloggers and vloggers to help contribute content to the site (and magazine).
  4. Particpate in Naptural Roots Radio shows.  Host/participate in at least two radio shows per year on a topic of your choice related to your focus area. (estimate of 3 hours per year)
  5. [Optionally] participate in Naptural Girl Next Door online Talk Show (guest speaker/interviewer at least twice per year). (estimate of 4 hours per year)
  6. Participate in Product Reviews as applicable to your focus area (or enlist them from bloggers/vloggers).
  7. Provide topics to be considered for each issue of the Magazine in coordination with Publisher's goal for the issues.
  8. Follow copyright laws to ensure that any republished articles are submitted to the publisher with appropriate approvals from the content author/publisher

Please note that content can be created by the Editor or created by reputable bloggers/writers and managed by the Editor.

What you will get in return is:

  1. Links to your blog, site, etc. on the site and all social media platforms.
  2. Listed on the Naptural Roots Website and in the magazine as a Staff Member of the Magazine. This includes a personal profile with contact information on our website. We want to show you off to our readers!
  3. One ad in each issue for which you have a contributing article (this could be your article or an article solicited by you). We want to support your business ventures as well!
  4. Ads across all social media platforms.
  5. Complimentary subscription to magazine.
  6. Advance access to new issues (before anyone else).
  7. Free access to all Naptural Roots sponsored/partnered events.
  8. Ability to participate in photoshoots for the Magazine.  This is an exclusive invitation that we do not offer to just anyone!
